ParaNatural 51104 Luxury Wax & Wood Wicks

Results...
I'm currently testing crackle wood wicks with Coconut Soy Hybrid 51104 Wax by Titan Wax.  I'm hoping that this will be helpful to some when narrowing down which wicks to use.  Feel free to adjust based on your wax/vessel/fragrance oil combo.  I'm using a vessel (Libbey Heavy Rocks Base) that's 3-1/8" inner diameter at the top, so if yours is smaller, you will want to wick down.  It's best to test a couple wick sizes in a few wick series or brands to see what you like the best!  Feel free to reach out to me anytime if you have any questions at all.  I'm here to help.

About Crackle Wood Wicks...
Wooden wicks are very easy to use and add a unique appeal to finished candles. Our wooden wicks are designed to burn cleanly, promoting a full melt pool and excellent scent throw. They come with stainless steel custom tabs, which prevent any wax discoloration. Wood wicks are known for their unique ‘crackle’ when burning in finished candles.

I'm using a 3-1/8" jar and the wicks I'm using are Crackle Single .02/.375 (SMALL), Crackle Single .02/.5 (MEDIUM), Crackle Single .02/.625 (LARGE), and Crackle Single .02/.75 (XL).  I'm using between and 8-9% fragrance load.  I will allow it to cure for 2 weeks before testing them.  I will keep you updated!  The other items I used when testing are the bowtie wick centering bars, and our candle wick trimmers.

If you've found a combination that works for you, please feel free to share your results below and/or to our Facebook Group.

Libbey HRB Crackle .02/.375 Testing. Keeping a close eye on this one.  Might be good.  So, the .02/.375 performed the best out of all 4 wicks.. I'm curious about the .03 single and .02 booster.  Definitely not the .03 booster as that would be too much. The whispers tend to burn cooler than the crackle wicks, so that is an option too. Wood wicks require a lot more testing compared to cotton wicks.
Libbey HRB Crackle .02/.5 Testing.  Keeping a close eye on this one, too.  A bit of soot at the very end.  See videos.  I didn't like any of the wicks, sadly. Will try whispers because they tend to burn cooler.
Libbey HRB Crackle .02/.625 Testing. This one is too much.  See videos below.
Libbey HRB Crackle .02/.75 Testing. This one is definitely too much wick. It's a mini torch and also turning the wax black. Soot is starting to form along the rim of the vessel.
