ParaNatural 51104 Luxury Wax & Zinc Wicks
Results...
I'm currently testing Zinc wicks with Coconut Soy Hybrid 51104 Wax by Titan Wax. I'm hoping that this will be helpful to some when narrowing down which wicks to use. Feel free to adjust based on your wax/vessel/fragrance oil combo. I'm using a vessel (Libbey Heavy Rocks Base) that's 3-1/8" inner diameter at the top, so if yours is smaller, you will want to wick down. It's best to test a couple wick sizes in a few wick series or brands to see what you like the best! Feel free to reach out to me anytime if you have any questions at all. I'm here to help.
Zinc core wicks have a unique construction that provides maximum rigidity in a wide variety of candle waxes. The Zinc Core's jacket design is 100% all-natural and maintains unmatched rigidity in the molten wax pool. Zinc Core wicks are cotton braids with an inner zinc core (no lead alloys). Zinc core wicks are cooler burning reduce soot and mushrooming.
I'm using a 3-1/8" jar and the wicks I'm using are 44-24-18, 44-28-18, 44-32-18, and 44-36-18. I'm using between and 8-9% fragrance load. I will allow it to cure for 2 weeks before testing them. I will keep you updated! The other items I used when testing are the bowtie wick centering bars, and our candle wick trimmers.
If you've found a combination that works for you, please feel free to share your results below.

Libbey HRB | 44-24-18 | Testing...day 1. Decent so far. See videos below. I am really liking Zinc wicks with this wax/vessel combo. This size is a tad small though. |
Libbey HRB | 44-28-18 | Testing...day 1. Looks good so far. I'm really liking Zinc wicks. So far it's between the 44-28 and 44-32 sizes, for sure. Both of these look really good to me. Jar temp is good. |
Libbey HRB | 44-32-18 | Testing...day 1. Looks good so far. See above! If I had to pick, I would go with the 44-28-18 wick for this wax/vessel combo. |
Libbey HRB | 44-36-18 | Testing...day 1. This one will probably be too much wick for this vessel/wax combo. We will see though. No soot, but the flame is dancing a bit and jar temp is pretty warm. |
