Wick Testing Coco Apricot / Ceda Serica Wax & CD Wicks

I'm currently testing Coco Apricot / Ceda Serica candle wax with CD candle wicks. I'm hoping that this will be helpful to some when narrowing down which wicks to use.  Feel free to adjust based on your wax/vessel/fragrance oil combo.  I'm using a vessel that's 3-1/8" inner diameter at the top, so if yours is smaller, you will want to wick down.  It's best to test a couple wick sizes in a few wick series or brands to see what you like the best!  Feel free to reach out to me anytime if you have any questions at all.  I'm here to help.

Stabilo, formerly knows as CD wicks respectively, the Stabilo wicks are coreless, non-directional, flat braided cotton wicks with a special paper filament woven around them.  This configuration is engineered to promote maximum and consistent capillary action while ensuring a wick trimming flame posture. The Stabilo series is used in many different applications and is especially compatible with the harder to melt viscous vegetable-based waxes.

I'm using a 3-1/8" jar and the wicks I'm using are CD 6, CD 7, CD 8, CD 10.  I'm using Cashmere at 9% fragrance load.  I will allow it to cure for 2 weeks before testing them.  I will keep you updated!  The other items I used when testing are the bowtie wick centering bars and our candle wick trimmers.

If you've found a combination that works for you, please feel free to share your results below.

Results
Wax Type Vessel Size Wicks Fragrance Load Results
Ceda 3-1/8" CD 6 9% Not sure about this one. Might be too small of a wick. This one worked out decently, but cd 7 was better.
Ceda 3-1/8" CD 7 9% This is decent so far. This one ended up being the winner.
Ceda 3-1/8" CD 8 9% The wick is too large. It's burning pretty hot and there's soot starting to form along the rim of the vessel.
Ceda

3-1/8"

CD 10 9% This wick is too large for this vessel. There's a ton of soot starting to form along the rim of the jar.
